"In a world where you can be anything, be kind."

Well lookie here, you've stumbled onto who I am.

First I want to say thank you for taking the time out of your day to learn a little bit about me. One thing I fully believe in, is that every mistake is worth it as long as you have learned something from it. Believe me, I have made plenty of mistakes in my life. I treat them as an educational experience. They have shaped me to who I am today.

Now about me. I am a self-taught guru. I say guru because I've never taken any formal classes in graphic design, in journalism or blogging, nothing fancy when it comes to embroidery, and certainly not when it comes to photo editing. Yet here I am! We live in an amazing age where we have a plethora of DIY and How Tos blasted across the internet. If there is something you want to learn, go do it. The only person standing in your way is YOU.

I began embroidering in March of 2020. Yeah. That March. I decided one day I wanted to embroider. So I ordered a DIY kit off Amazon and immediately fell in love... and then the world fell apart. Embroidering saved my sanity when we were under quarantine. I discovered I enjoyed it and decided to create a business around it. I also found artists on Instagram who I fell in love with their work. I wanted the chance to learn from them, and I figured you might enjoy learning too.

I have been writing pretty much since I learned how. I love expressing myself through words. I've always been good at it. You could say I'm a natural. Honestly though, I've spent years writing little stories, collaborations, and even a rough draft of a novel. Now I have a chance to use my love of words and mash it up with my new love of embroidery.

I spent a year in Alaska in an Eskimo village where we were closer to Russia than we were Anchorage. We were THAT far north. We were so far north that we were ABOVE the arctic circle. Believe you me, it got cold. REAL cold. If you're curious about arctic life, I am happy to talk about it. Oh, and the reason I lived there was to teach Pre-K and Kindergarten. It was so much fun!

I have been married to my husband since 2014. We have two beautiful girls. We have two crazy dogs. We love camping, taking long drives, and doing loads of DIY projects.

I am always happy to make new friends. I love talking and relating to anyone who gives me the time of day. Feel free to contact me about...pretty much anything. I'm an open book.
